Basically there are people screaming to apply for jobs, and no jobs!

Anyone out there with some jobs to post, at the moment any new jobs posted are going to fill all the hotspots and recent jobs spots .. Help!

When you look at a website, typically it’s impossible to tell how heavily it’s used and ultimately how useful it’s going to prove as a business tool. Although Google gives a reasonable indication of how useful the site content is, based on the site’s position in it’s search results, the only real way to tell is to look at the hosting company’s raw stats. Often these are not published as they reveal potential deficiencies in the site’s performance .. on the other hand, here are the current stats for PharmaCareers.co.uk .

Last Three Months

It jobs and salaries to rise predict recuritment agency

In a odd twist an IT recruitment agency is predicting that in the midst of economic turmoil, it may be IT staff who come up trumps.

Rethink recruitment, a recruitment agency in IT are optimistic for their future now.

In the last decade IT workers have had a rough ride, the dot com bubble bursting amongst other testing times  has put off many from venturing near IT as a career.  Since 2001, the number of people apply for degrees in IT has halved.  In recent years more and more companies have opted for outsourcing overseas to cut costs, this has also made entry level jobs in IT decline making it even harder to begin a career in IT.

The end result of all this has been a shortage in IT workers at a time when demand is increasing.  In tough economic times companies need IT efficiency so demand is growing whilst supply is falling, the consequence is that salaries are rising.

If you are a recruitment agency in IT this is great news, more positions to fill at higher salaries!

set to target pharmacy recruitment

The pharmaceutical jobs site, pharmacareers has gained a broad internet presence within their market. It has now appears to be gaining a presence in the pharmacy recruitment market.

Although not by design, the site has started to list for a number of phrases related to pharmacy recruitment.  One of the buzz words within SEO relating to google is ‘trust’.  Once a site becomes trusted, it can begin to list for all sorts of content found on the site, rather than simply the handful of phrases that have received SEO attention.

The pharmacy recruitment market cuold be a lucrative one housing many well known brands such as the major supermarket chains, not to mention pharmacy chains such as Boots, Lloyds and Moss.

It is thought that a SEO burst on this topic will see front page positions before the turn of year.

Test news item to see if there is a pattern

It is possible that we are loosing content due to duplicate stuff

It doesn’t seem to relate to article length, but google could be looking for > 60% duplication and thereby dicsounting artiles with similar headlines and content.  If this is the case then this news item should have no problem being cached.  The challenge will then be to have anough unique content on each page and still manage to get key words in which are bound to be repeats….to the spider…until we meet again!

Temporary recruitment vacancies to climb

Temporary recruitment vacancies to climb

This is the prediction of a leading supplier of uk jobs boards.  Recruitment vacancies generally are buoyant in the UK at present, but in particular there are many factors fuelling a growth in the supply of contractors in preference to permanent staffing.  Firstly, the influx of migrant workers has changed the dynamics of staffing in many sectors, more specifically it has presented employers greater options to recruit skills at reduced costs.  Many agencies have moved to capitalise on this through developing recruitment channels from different areas of Europe to the UK, something which has become so much easier using the power of the internet.

As a result of these changes there is already evidence of recruiters advertising more temporary recruitment vacancies to meet this growing need.  This is likely to further accelerate as we approach 2012 and the Olympics.  This event in particular will require unprecedented levels of contract staff in and around the London region, something which many of the capitals recruiters are already benefiting from.

for ‘recruitment jobs’ and ‘jobs in recruitment’

After a long SEO campaign for recruitmentcareers, results have been excellent. However, top google positions for the big phrases such as jobs in recruitment and recruitment jobs remian absent.

The Ukcareers team have already instructed SEO partners to double resources behind their campaign, using a range of new key phrases in addition to doubling their input of the existing top phrases, Medical sales and pharmaceutical jobs.

After further research, the team believe they have a new technique which may hold the key to gain top positions on google for the most competitive phrases.  The goal now will be to push medical sales and pharmaceutical jobs to number one within 3 months.

Graduate jobs and graduate vacancies make excellent start

Just a few days over 4 weeks and ukgraduatecareers.net has hit msn with an array of page two positions. Graduate jobs has achieved 18 on page two with graduate vacanices coming straight in at 7 on page one.

It’s an astonishing start to the SEO campaign to see key phrases such as graduate vacancies and graduate jobs make page one and two respectively after only 4 weeks.  The results bode well for the campaign ahead as msn has proven a good precursor to results on both yahoo and eventually google.
