Screenshot-1We’ve added to our  portfolio of Wordpress features available in the new search widget and have our first customer trying them out. We can now embed the search widget within customer sites and filter search results so it only display vacancies advertised by that customer. In addition, we can theme the widget to match the customer’s website ..

Thus far we have one customer trying this out, take a look at;

Ok, we have an initial version of the new software up for testing on the Pharma Careers demo site. This should be relatively complete from a candidate’s perspective although we’ve not included any of the recruiter functionality just yet.

Please feel free to use the built in feedback form, we would very much appreciate your comments, suggestions and reports of any problems.

The software should be 100% on Internet Explorer version 8 and Firefox version 3, however you should also find it’s 99%+ (i.e. fully usable) on Internet Explorer version 6 and on Google’s ‘Chrome’ browser.

(incidentally, it’s working off live data so it “can” be used in place of the current pharmacareers site with regards to candidates)

It’s been a strange month, although vacancies are up and one would expect more applications, the increase in applications as compared to the increase in vacancies is astonishing. A 50% increase in vacancies seems to have been matched by a 150% increase in applications (!) Site traffic is also up a little with a total of around 4000 visitors for the month. Here’s the rolling six-monthly table, note we also had a high in terms of new registrations.

Ok, we’re on the last list of fixes prior to a test release .. most of those are browser compatibility issues. If anyone has any strong views about which browsers should (or shouldn’t) be supported, I’d be interested to hear. Currently we’re explicitly supporting Firefox 3.x, IE6 and IE8 .. hopefully we can get access to an IE7 browser for testing and add this to the list.
