Interesting stats, fewer vacancies going up but very little change in the level of applications and on average the level of new sign-ups seems to be fairly consistent. One thing I have noted is that many recruiters do not “action” jobs on-line which firstly does not give a true indication of the quality of the applicants (many more are contacted than are marked as contacted) and many make applications and are left in limbo because there’s a feeling that declining an applicant might generate questions and additional work.
+----+--------+-----------+------+----------+-------+---------+ | ## | Logins | Vacancies | Apps | Actioned | Deact | New Reg | +----+--------+-----------+------+----------+-------+---------+ | 0 | 493 | 146 | 322 | 12 | 6 | 65 | | 1 | 631 | 176 | 348 | 19 | 8 | 81 | | 2 | 867 | 320 | 375 | 26 | 11 | 67 | | 3 | 857 | 277 | 361 | 30 | 12 | 66 | | 4 | 1013 | 309 | 410 | 41 | 14 | 79 | | 5 | 966 | 295 | 495 | 67 | 25 | 62 | +----+--------+-----------+------+----------+-------+---------+
Some interesting changes being proposed in the new system, firstly an automatic candidate response if the recruiter does not action their vacancies. Secondly a limitation so that only the most recent (n) applications are shown, so existing applications need to be actioned before more are shown. As part of this obviously the selection and actioning of applications will be made much easier / smoother ..
